2022 SoldBuyAmanda Recap

Hey friends! Welcome back. Yes, I know it's already 2023 - but 2022 was too awesome not to give her a permanent spot on the blog! While I had big dreams for 2022 (most of that just being just trying to survive the third trimester (February - April), my newborn (delivered in April-just one week behind schedule), postpartum time while still working full time, and then balancing a growing two year old - I just have to shout from the rooftops that I was able to also help over a dozen families, friends, and neighbors navigate both on and off market transactions, totaling 3.8M in sales volume.


I was able to help folks from Charlotte (Mecklenburg County) all the way to Anson County, up to Cabarrus County and let's not leave out the booming Stanly County.


GOAL SETTING // Let's talk goal setting and how we ended up here. My first real estate mentor, the late, great, and forever in my heart - Ms. Ethel Thomas- taught me more than I could have imagined about goal setting. (PS- If you knew her, you know how incredibly driven and accomplished she was). I admired her ability to never stop at "NO" - she told me it was just an opportunity to do better next time. Each year, she ensured I started the year with my goal setting. So, it was truly fitting that the hole in my heart was filled with a reminder of her on January 1, 2023. This year- I've decided it's different. I'm going to base my goals at the heart of her business. When I think about her, I think about ALL the people that knew her because she helped them in some way. I realized that the volume number doesn't matter anymore. You can't necessarily control that. However, if I am out there empowering people to make smart moves with their money, well - you can certainly control how many people you reach with that mindset. SHARE THE GOOD NEWS, people! In the meantime - I'm working 24/7 to ensure that I can empower as many people as possible by putting the right information in front of folks so that they can change the trajectory of their future.


This isn't the fabulous Selling Sunset. (While I do sometimes dream about those incredible homes) That's not God's purpose for me. My goal and dream is to get facts and tangible resources into the hands of those who need it most, when juggling the transaction that most likely involves their biggest investment.


So, here's how I will remember 2022 -



  • Help my former mentor's family navigate the marketing and sale of her extensive estate

  • Help an expecting couple that I met at one of my own listings purchase an off market home without exceeding their budget

  • Help two local police officers find their forever home before welcoming baby #2 into the world

  • Help a friend sell her home in the midst of a trying season while still turning a profit

  • Negotiate an incredible piece of land with an adjoining home (off market) for a family estate that was navigating one of the most difficult losses of a lifetime

  • Help a friend of a friend relocate to our very own Peachland after selling his home of 20+ years for almost 2.5 times what he paid for it, ensuring he can soon retire and enjoy the slower things in life

  • Help my new friends (of which I gained after my husband and I purchased their home) find their forever retirement home to host family gatherings with less maintenance and upkeep

  • Help a dear friend navigate the sale of her late mother's home four days after having my precious Olivia

  • Gain a lifelong friend who allowed me to guide her in the sale of her incredible equestrian estate after spending half of her life building it from the ground up

  • Help a family in a critical pivot point get out from under a home that they could no longer keep, while helping them achieve a 50k+ gain in less than a year

  • Assist a family transitioning into retirement while ensuring we got them top-dollar for their investment - Spoiler alert, they brought in over 200k more than what they paid for the home

  • Reach folks from Charlotte to Wadesboro - Marshville to Concord - while sending referrals to other talented agents across the country

  • And more...


So, yes - my business model is different - and it always will be. I'm in the business of helping people do three things:


  1. Realize potential

  2. Maximize investments

  3. Wake up knowing they're worth it
